EPAD (Electrically Powered Actuator Design)

Electrically Powered Actuator DesignEPAD is a flight test program for electrically powered actuators.  The actuators are used to control the left aileron of the F-18.  This particular airplane is flown from NASA/Dryden at Edwards Air Force Base in California.  DCI has been instrumental in the design, system integration, and flight test of several electrically powered actuators.
